Frequently asked questions

A few practical answers before we begin.

What can KAELIN help us source?

We consider a broad range of products, including consumer goods, furniture, textiles, packaging, construction materials, equipment, components and electronics. Feasibility depends on your specification, order size, supplier availability and destination requirements. Send a short brief so we can assess the request.

Do you source only from China?

Mainland China is our core sourcing focus. Selected neighbouring Asian markets can be considered where they are relevant to the product and project. We confirm geographic coverage during scoping.

Which African markets do you support?

We consider enquiries across African markets. The support available for a particular country depends on the product, transaction and local provider or regulatory requirements. Tell us the intended destination when you contact us.

Can you work with a supplier we already know?

Yes. An engagement can focus on communication, samples, order follow-up, shipping arrangements or documentation with an existing supplier.

Are you the manufacturer or the seller?

Our website describes advisory and coordination services. The supplier or seller, buyer and any other contracting parties are identified for the specific transaction. Any separate trading role would need to be expressly agreed in writing.

Do you verify suppliers or guarantee product quality?

We can coordinate supplier information, document reviews, samples and independent assessments within an agreed scope. These activities have different purposes and limitations. We do not promise that an introduction or review eliminates commercial risk or guarantees product quality.

Can you arrange quality inspections?

We can help coordinate inspections or testing through suitable independent providers where required. The standards, scope, timing, cost and reporting arrangements need to be agreed before the service is commissioned.

Do you arrange shipping and customs clearance?

We coordinate with freight forwarders, carriers and other appointed providers. Customs clearance, specialist declarations and destination procedures are handled by the responsible parties or qualified providers. The scope and charges are confirmed for the shipment.

Can KAELIN facilitate payments?

We help coordinate payment terms, milestones, invoices and documentary requirements with the parties and their banks or authorised payment providers. Under this service, we do not receive or hold client funds, operate escrow, exchange currency or execute remittances.

Is there a minimum order or project size?

Supplier minimums vary by product and manufacturer. We assess each engagement on its requirements and practical scope rather than publishing a universal minimum.

How are your fees agreed?

Fees are quoted according to the scope and responsibilities of the engagement. Third-party costs and any other applicable charges are identified and agreed separately. The agreed arrangement is set out before work begins.

Can we discuss a project confidentially?

Yes. Tell us if your enquiry requires particular confidentiality arrangements. We can discuss an appropriate process before you share sensitive commercial information. Please keep the initial website enquiry brief and avoid sending banking or identity documents.

How long does a project take?

Timing depends on the task, supplier responsiveness, product availability and any production, inspection or shipping requirements. We establish expected milestones during scoping and review them as the project develops.

How do we begin?

Use the enquiry form to describe the product, shipment, transaction or partnership you have in mind. Include the destination and approximate timing if known. We will review the brief and follow up to clarify the next step.
